Visitor

We got a visitor this evening.  It came around 7:49pm.  Yup, you guessed right….a wild animal.  Here’s the picture of what came around.

We figure he/she is about 2 years old. It looked like he/she was fattening up nicely for the winter.  The momma wasn’t anywhere to be seen.  Perhaps, she was in the bush.  It was about 50’ from our house & right by Chance’s kennel.

Once we knew it was gone, we went out with Chance.  We gave her the opportunity to sniff the ground where it stood.  She enjoyed doing that!

That was the excitement for Sunday.

Super Moon

 

 

We had a “Super Moon” on May 5th.  What is a “super moon” you ask?  Well, here’s what it is (courtesy of Wikipedia).

A supermoon, is the coincidence of a full moon (or a new moon) with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, or perigee, leading to the technical name for a supermoon of the perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. The association of the Moon with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that the supermoon phenomenon may be associated with increased risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. However, the evidence of such a link is widely held to be unconvincing.
